I am proud to share that I will be partaking in the Shas-a-thon once again this year.  For the 3rd time my fellow lomdim and I will finish the entire Shas in one day under one roof; I will be learning Sotah 31-Sotah 40.

This year will be more special for me as the Shas-a-thon will take place on my grandmother's (Anyu) yahrtzeit.  Anyu, Golda bas Reb Ezriel was niftar on 19th of Elul 5760.

Anyu was a very special woman who miraculously survived the war in Budapest with 9 children.  Shortly after the war her husband Apu was niftar and she continued to raise her family with tremendous mesirus nefesh. By the time she was niftar at the ripe old age of 94 she had more than 250 offspring!

On Sunday I will be learning to support A TIME, to help those who would also like a chance to raise their own family. 

For those unfamiliar with the efforts of A TIME, the organisation provides medical, financial, emotional and halachic support, to couples navigating the difficulties associated with infertility. In addition, with sensitivity and respect, they accompany many such couples over the many hurdles on their path, aiding and praying with them for positive outcomes.  The organisation offers services including: social support forums for couples, co-ordination of resources for financial aid for treatments, educational programmes, doctor referrals, and a pregnancy loss support programme. A TIME also works to educate doctors in halachic matters and Rabbis in the latest fertility treatments.

Currently, the organization has over 7,700 registered members and branch offices operate in the United States, Canada, England and Israel.
